Welcome to the FSU/FAMU CoE Maple Seed Project site. The Maple Seed Sensor Network, also known as the Maple Seed Unmanned Ground Surveilance System (MSUGSS) is a ME/EE multidisciplinary senior design project sponsored by Harris Corporation.

Our problem is to create a compact, unobtrusive sensor device that can be deployed from an aircraft. After nearly two years of development, we have conceived a novel solution that draws inspiration from the samara or seed pod of the of the majestic maple tree.
